STREAK ENDERS - Tennessee had been 0-6 vs Top 10 teams in Neyland Stadium since 2000 but absolutely dominated Cal in the opener. UT opened as a 2.5 fav but the line moved to Cal -3. Eric Ainge, who we said would be the most improved QB in the country this year, looked like it in the opener hitting 11 of 17 for 291 yards. UT piled up a 260-86 yd edge and led the game 35-0 with Cal even getting a 97 yd drive for a garbage TD with :09 left.
